This will most likely be my last time for this blog, as I will most likely not be here for this class tomorrow, and Friday I plan on doing absolutely nothing. In the event that I do get here on time for this class tomorrow, I will still most likely not do much of anything. Think of my lack of work ethic as being my way of showing my un-appreciation for the class not being what us students were told it was going to be. I have put up with 13 weeks of constant nagging, (for lack of a better word), about something that we have no knowledge about, and really neither did the teacher, who also admitted to that fact on more than one occasion.
In those thirteen weeks, this class has gone from bad to worse, in my opinion. For the most part, we started this class blind, and we finished it blind as well. As far as learning, I personally don't feel that there was that much done and I don't feel as though this class was of use to me. I feel this way mainly because the class was supposed to be a Digital Imaging (PHOTO SHOP) class, and it most obviously was not that at all. I feel as though I have been extremely mislead.
I took this class because I was told by the counselor that it was Photo Shop. I have this program at home but have no idea how to use it. I figured that I would be able to learn at least the basics of the program. Sadly, that was so not the case. We didn't even learn the basics of Photo shop! That is completely ridiculous.
Overall, I feel that this class was, quite frankly, a waste of my valued time. I did not learn, in any way, what I was supposed to learn. I dealt with a roller coaster of stress, wild frustration, and diminishing work ethic due to all the ungodly amounts of unneeded stress produced by this class. I am extremely disappointed by all of this. And just for reference, if someone were to ask me about taking this class, I would give them this honest opinion: The class was not, in any way, what it was supposed to be, so if you're wanting a photo shop class, don't bother taking this one because it wasn't Photo shop at all, and you will be very disappointed if that's what you ere looking for.
In closing, I would like to once again add that in no way was this intended to be mean. It's just plain honest.

Well, guess what I'm going to do today everybody?? I'm going to attempt to teach myself some stuff in PHOTOSHOP. You know? Its that program that this class is supposed to be about.

Ok so I dont think I could even begin to express my annoyance with this entire project. And the fact that we STILL haven't done virtually any photoshop work still makes me mad. This is just a bit rediculous.
On top of all that, we're working our butts off for this game, but we aren't getting anywhere. There's not a lot more we can do, since we don't even know half the time what to do to begin with.
So, once again, not to be mean, but this has all been a really big disapointment.

I realize that this class is frustrating and we're all having a hard time with this, but today's happenings were totally uncalled for. I dont know about other groups, but my group isnt getting very far with this game. We're having a lot of trouble with the actionscript. And today's outburst doesn't help a thing. How do you feel about it?

Not to be um mean or anything, but I honestly thought this was supposed to be a photoshop type class. My personal opinion is that this flash game thing should'e been done in a normal computer education class or something to that effect, not for a class that is supposed to be something totally different. I mean , this stuff is ok, but it's deffinately not what I signed up to so. And im really diaspointed that we've done practically nothing in photoshop. I wanted to take this class becasue I have photoshop at home, but have no idea how to use it. All in all, this is really frustrating and kind of a big let down. And I'm definately not the only one in here who feels this way...copy and paste this to your blog if you agree.

I think the most difficult concept of our game to teach is that no one of the three branches has more power than the other. I've found that a lot of people like to argue that one is more important, or does more than another branch. That's simply not true. Each branch of government has specific, and equally important, job to be done. The check and balance system also keeps a certain branch or branches from overpowering another one. I alos feel that people dont take enough interest in our government, and therefore, don't really want to learn about it sometimes.

I believe our game will teach this effectively by having a large and various amount of questions. These questions will point out the many differences between the three government branches.

Ok so today I am filling out the rest of our game page, again. I did it yesterday, but for whatever reason, it did not save. So thats an hour's worth of work down the drain, but anyway... It's moving along pretty well.

Paper Prototype Troubles

We've finished the paper prototype and made the video. However, we've done everything we can, but the video won't upload to our wiki. Any suggestions? This is quite frustrating.

I did the flash text video thing today. It wasn't as difficult as I thought it was going to be, so I'll be leaving this class in a good mood today for sure! :)

I haven't posted a blog in a really REALLY long time. Wont't be in school tomorrow due to a trip to Washington D.C with the culture club for the weekend. Game project is comming along okay, but still needs work.
